Bridget Eades-Kasinger runs the social media accounts for Rainbow Café which is a cute little breakfast and lunch place. Before getting this job, she worked at a different restaurant as a server, which she still does, and was in college studying health and exercise science. She was an avid and regular customer there and eventually the restaurant contacted her to help use her social media skills for their business.
On social media, Bridget loves advocating for civil rights. She is also uniquely vegan and likes to bring awareness to different foods and products she finds that are vegan friendly. Bridget reaches out to other businesses for shout outs, creates personalized video messages, and regular content creation to help advertise for the company. She loves doing little vlogs for the restaurant. This job is part time for her, and she spends a handful of hours a week working on content for the restaurant. She is paid on a salary, which is the first job she’s ever had where she was on a salary.
She says “having this job has helped me create a lot of meaningful friendships and learn a lot more about the Fort Collins community” after just moving from Ann Arbor, Michigan only a few years ago. She has always had a passion for photography and considers herself a very visually inclined person.
While this job is very suiting to her personality, she said “the hardest challenge was keeping up engagement and content when Rainbow shut down due to Covid and remained take out only.” Likewise, during this time she explained that the owner decided to remodel which made business even more tricky so it became a roadblock in her job.

“As a small business, it is scary when the world flips upside down, but keeping Rainbow Café open and alive was a true accomplishment” she explained. To succeed in her role, she keeps a small content calendar to organize what’s going to be shared and when. She uses a lot of different software's to create content and finds that unprecedented circumstances can cause a lot of disappointment in the analytics of social media. However, things are looking up. The restaurant just finished it’s remodel and is now open for take out and dine in.
The Rainbow Café Instagram has a little under 4k followers. They post about twice a week and frequently update their story. If you ever need a relaxing place to eat, study, Rainbow Café seems like a very well marketed and lovely place to be in. Their Instagram handle is @rainbowfoco.
